HS2 Community Funds award £18,500 to the Berkswell and District Royal British Legion Social Club

Berkswell & District Royal British Legion Social Club receives £18,500

A new project has been awarded funding in Solihull as part of the HS2 Community and Business Funds.

The Berkswell & District Royal British Legion Social Club is a non-profit social club that provides for the local community and is near its 100th year of trading.

The funds will be used to repair the roof and provide a new kitchen for the social club. The current flat roof leaks and is in need of immediate attention, requiring full replacement with a new modern rubberised system to prevent further issues. In addition, the outdated kitchen will be modernised in order to cater for increased community functions including tribute nights, weddings, birthdays and funerals.
