News on HS2 in Solihull

We are improving and expanding sections of the existing road network in the area, and constructing new routes on HS2 land, which will connect to four new highway bridges. These road improvements will ensure that when the future HS2 Interchange Station is operational, the local road network is fit for purpose.

This is an ongoing programme of works, which commenced in March on Northway and the B4438 .

To safely facilitate utility works as part of this programme, a temporary 24-hour single lane closure will be installed along a short section of the B4438 southbound from 7.30am on Saturday 12 September to 5.00pm on Sunday 13 September. This temporary 24-hour single lane closure will then be repeated in the same location from 7.30am on Saturday 19 September to 5.00pm on Sunday 20 September.
