News on HS2 in Solihull

There will be hard shoulder closures on the link roads onto the M6 near Chelmsley Wood and South Coleshill from Monday 14 December to Monday 21 December. This includes junction 7 on the M42 as well as junction 4 on the M6. These measures will allow safe access to our work sites to prepare for future construction works, which include roadside vegetation clearance.

The closures will be in place between 9.30am and 3.30pm on the following phased dates:

• Phase 1, southside hard shoulder closure on link road towards M6 southbound: 14 December – 15 December

• Phase 2, northside hard shoulder closure on link road towards M6 southbound: 16 December – 17 December

• Phase 3, westside hard shoulder closure on link road towards M6 northbound: 18 December and 21 December only
