HS2 Notification: Notice of ongoing lane closures near Northway Island

We previously notified you about lane closures in the Interchange area to facilitate safe utility diversions. You can read our previous posts here . This is an ongoing programme of works, which commenced in March on Northway and the B4438 .

Later in the year, when utility diversions are complete, we will improve and expand sections of the existing road network in the area, and construct new routes on HS2 land, which will connect to four new highway bridges. These road improvements will ensure that when the future HS2 Interchange Station is operational, the local road network is fit for purpose.

Varying single lane closures will remain in place until Monday 8 June on Northway and on the A452 and B4438. Our working hours will be 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, but some traffic measures will remain in place 24-hours. We will work Monday to Friday, however we may extend our works into the weekend if required.

Temporary traffic lights will continue to be used intermittently until Monday 8 June on the A452. Temporary traffic lights will also be installed from Wednesday 20 May to Thursday 21 May on Northway from 20:00 pm to 5:00 am.

You will still be able to travel along all routes in both directions.

You can view the works notification, including a map, here notice.
