HS2 Notification: Notice of temporary overnight road closures on the A446 northbound and southbound from 28 September 2020

During 2020, we are building four new highways bridges in the area that surrounds the future HS2 Interchange Station. In the future, these bridges will connect the current road network to new routes we will create over the next two years .

The first of these new highways bridges was safely installed in August over the M42. The next bridge will be located over the A446. To smoothly and efficiently install the A446 bridge deck later in the year, we need to carry out a range of preparation works, such as relocating existing vehicle barriers. To conduct these safely, we need to install temporary overnight road closures.

We’ll temporarily close the A446 northbound and southbound overnight from 8pm on Monday 28 September for approximately 2 weeks. Our working hours will be 8pm to 6am, Monday to Friday, but our contractors may be on site up to an hour before and after those times to set up and close down the site.

A signed diversion route will be in place for drivers.

Please view the works notification , including a map.
