News on HS2 in Solihull

When the future HS2 Interchange Station is operational, four new highways bridges will connect the current road network to new routes we are creating. The first of these new highways bridges was safely installed in August over the M42 , and the second was installed in October over the A446 . This year, we will carry out various activities to fully reinstate these roads, such as drainage connections.

To carry out this work safely, we will install:

• Temporary, overnight road closures along the A452 and A446 from 8pm to 6am, from Monday 8 February to Friday 12 February, and then from 8pm to 6am, from Monday 15 February to Tuesday 16 February

• 24-hour single lane closures along the A446 from Monday 8 February to Wednesday 10 February

• 24-hour single lane closures along the A452 from Monday 8 February to Monday 15 February

Our contractors may be on site up to an hour before and after those times to set up and close down the site. Signed diversion routes will be in place for drivers during the overnight road closures.
