News on HS2 in Solihull

We previously notified you about lane and road closures on and around Northway Island. You can read our previous post here.

From Tuesday 14 April, we carried out single lane closures on Northway Island and the B4438 and A452 to safely facilitate utility diversions. This utilities programme will enable us to improve and expand sections of the existing road network in the area, and construct new routes on HS2 land, which will connect to four new highway bridges later in the year. These road improvements will ensure that when the future HS2 Interchange Station is operational, the local road network is fit for purpose.

Originally, our utility diversions in this area were to be carried out from Tuesday 14 April for approximately 3 weeks. However, due to evolving site conditions, these works will now be extended for approximately 1 further week. Our working hours will continue to be 6am to 8pm, and our traffic measures remain the same.
