News on HS2 in Solihull

So far this year, we have been carrying out works in preparation for our highways development programme. This work has included surveys and vegetation clearance along the future HS2 railway route. We’ve also completed the majority of our utility diversions on and around Northway Island, and have now started other activities such as creating new drainage and pedestrian footpaths.

From July to September 2020, we will continue to carry out works and traffic measures on Northway Island and on the B4438, A452, A446 and M42. In the coming months, we will begin to construct part of the future road network on HS2 land alongside the B4438.

We will also install the decks of our new highway bridges over the M42 and A446 by the end of the year.
