News on HS2 in Solihull

Early works to construct the new railway, is carried out by a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and J. Murphy & Sons, known as LM.

From 12 January, LM will be starting work on the construction of the roundabout on the A452 Kenilworth Road, Berkswell close to Park Lane.

The first phase of these works is to divert existing utilities such as gas, electricity and or water supply, along sections of the A452.

LM are carrying out these preparation works to support the Mains Works Contractor. The preparation works include the construction of the main works compound, which is being built on Park Lane, and the construction of this additional roundabout. This is to assist construction traffic to safely enter and exit the compound site and to minimise the impact of construction traffic on residents and businesses.
