HS2 Works Notification: Extension of temporary traffic lights on Diddington Lane, near Hampton in Arden

Early works for HS2 are carried out by a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and Murphy & Sons known as LM.

On 21 January we informed you of temporary traffic lights on Diddington Lane in order to clear vegetation.

Due to site and weather conditions, LM needs to extend their presence in this area to complete the vegetation clearance activity.

HS2 Works Notification: creation of a test piling compound on Diddington Lane, Hampton in Arden

The Main Works Civil’s Contractor is Balfour Beatty Vinci, who will be working on HS2 Ltd’s behalf to build the new high-speed railway.

On 20 and 21 February , Balfour Beatty Vinci (BBV), will be implementing a road closure on Diddington Lane. The closure will enable BBV’s sub-contractors to clear vegetation and create an access point for a test piling compound.

Once this initial work is complete, BBV will then be working in the area for a further 5 months. During this time, BBV will start soil investigations, followed by the construction of a satellite compound to enable test piling to take place.

During all these works, access to frontages along Diddington Lane will be maintained.

The working hours will be Monday to Friday 08:00 am – 18:00 pm and on Saturday 08:00 am to 13:00 pm.

You will experience a slight increase in local traffic, hear low level noise from machinery, occasional traffic management and road closures on Diddington Lane.

Rescheduling of traffic management in Berkswell and Balsall Common

On 13 January we informed you of traffic management measures LM were introducing along Lavender Hall Lane and Park lane to clear vegetation. Due to site and weather conditions, LM will need to extend their presence in this area to complete their clearance works. However, LM have taken steps to minimise their disruption on local journeys by staggering the traffic management.

The temporary traffic lights alongside Lavender Hall Lane are installed and will be extended by one week, to finish during week commencing 17 February.

The temporary road closure on Truggist Lane will take place after these traffic lights are lifted. It will take place during week commencing 24 February.
