News on HS2 in Solihull

Early works for HS2 are carried out by a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and Murphy & Sons known as LM. During 2020, LM will build four new highway bridges in the area that surrounds the future HS2 Interchange Station site.

To carry out this work, LM will need to install temporary lane closures, for a few evenings at a time, between Monday 13 January to Thursday 30 January on the M42 between junctions 6 and 7.

The temporary overnight lane closures will be in place from:

• Monday 13 January to Wednesday 16 January

• Monday 27 January to Thursday 30 January

LM will be working on site from 10pm to 5am each evening, but our Contractors may be on site up to an hour before and after those times to set up and close down the site.

You will be able to travel along the M42, in both directions, throughout the works.
