News on HS2 in Solihull

Today we have two updates around ongoing works:

A446 southbound - overnight road closure

Earlier this month we updated you about our works to create a new access road off the A446 southbound in your area.

Due to emerging site conditions, we need to undertake some additional traffic measures on the A446 southbound to protect our workforce, and the travelling public, whilst we carry out our works to create the access road.

From Monday 25 November, 11.59pm, to Tuesday 26 November, 6am, we will carry out a single overnight road closure on the A446 southbound. The location of this temporary closure is the same as our current works on the A446 southbound.

Although there are designated closure times, our contractors may be on site up to an hour before and after those times. A signed diversion route will be in place for this closure.

A446 northbound - 24/7 lane closures

To complete our new access road off the A446 northbound, we will also extend our 24/7 lane closures on the A446 northbound to Sunday 15 December, due to recent site and weather conditions.
