Vegetation clearance off Green Lane, Public Right of way

Western Power Distribution, will be undertaking some work that is related to the construction of high speed rail.

To construct the railway, it is necessary to divert several high voltage electricity cables currently situated near the proposed HS2 infrastructure.

We will be working near Green Lane, a Public Right of Way, to carry out the removal of vegetation and foliage, to enable the work to be carried out. The work site comprises agricultural fields divided by hedgerows, dense scrub and tree lined boundaries. The site is in the Chelmsley Wood area between the M6 and M42.

To do this we will access the site using a 4x4 vehicle and associated small items of equipment. We will remove vegetation using hand held strimmer and chipping equipment.

Access will be maintained for residents to the surrounding area at all times. The normal working hours for this will be 08:00 – 16:00.

The work's notification from Western Power Distribution can be viewed here Green Lane vegetation clearance . A location map, regarding these works is provided below.
