News on HS2 in Solihull

During 2020, we will improve and expand sections of the existing road network in the area, and construct new routes on HS2 land, which will connect to four new highway bridges. These road improvements will ensure that when the future HS2 Interchange Station is operational, the local road network is fit for purpose.

This is an ongoing programme of works, which commenced in March on Northway and the B4438 .

On Wednesday 5 August , we informed you that we were planning to temporarily close a short section of the B4438 from 6am on Saturday 22 August, to 6pm on Sunday 23 August. Due to factors out of our control, we will reschedule this temporary weekend closure on the B4438 within the next six weeks.
