News on HS2 in Solihull

During 2020, we are improving and expanding sections of the existing road network in the area, and constructing new routes on HS2 land, which will connect to four new highway bridges. These road improvements will ensure that when the future HS2 Interchange Station is operational, the local road network is fit for purpose.

This is an ongoing programme of works, which commenced in March on Northway and the B4438 .

On Friday 21 August , we informed you that our temporary closure of a short section of the B4438 from 6am on Saturday 22 August, to 6pm on Sunday 23 August would be rescheduled as a result of factors out of our control.

We can now confirm that we will temporarily close a short section of the B4438 from 6am on Saturday 3 October, to 6pm on Sunday 4 October. Signed diversion routes will be in place for drivers.
