News on HS2 in Solihull

We previously notified you about temporary daytime single lane closures on and around Northway Island. These works were extended until the 13th of March due to adverse weather conditions. You can read our previous post here . Due to a successful few days on site, we will be able to conclude these works at 3pm on 11 March, and will not return to Northway Island for the remainder of this week.

To get the most from our approved road space, and reduce the need for traffic measures in the future, we will use this time to progress some new works, requiring temporary, daytime single lane closures on the B4438 and Northway from 12 March until 13 March. Our working hours will be 9.30am to 3.30pm, but our contractors may be on site for up to an hour before and after those times to set up, and close down the site. These works include vegetation and tree clearance.
