News on HS2 in Solihull

We have two new notices of work happening.

Our first notice of works covers the diversion of an existing gas main, and the creation of a new access road off the A446 northbound.

To carry out our works safely, we need to install temporary traffic management on the A452 and A446 northbound. Traffic management will be in place between Tuesday 17 September and Sunday 27 October, which will include individual overnight road and lane closures and 24/7 single lane closures.

From 30th September we will be carrying out works in preparation for the new Kenilworth Greenway diversion. The purpose of the works is to create two new access points for HS2 work sites on a section of Waste Lane, Balsall Common. This work will last for up to three weeks. The work will involve lane closures and temporary traffic lights on both the northbound and southbound carriage way at separate intervals.

Following completion of these works, LM will be installing a plant crossing for up to 12 months, to allow plant vehicles to safely cross the road between both access points whilst the Greenway is being built. Full details are available on the latest notice .
